Welcome to Jordana Buchan's personal page
I was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer in March of 2012 and I am excited about this opportunity to raise money specifically for Stage 4 Breast Cancer research.
In the last 10 years, CCS and the former Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation have together invested more than $52 million in metastatic breast cancer research.
Current research topics include investigating:
• microscopic metastases with a simple blood test to better target treatments • how individual breast tumour cells evolve over time to improve patient treatment and outcomes • the interplay between breast cancer and the immune system, and the development of new immunotherapies • how breast cancer develops and spreads to different organs, and new ways to stop it • new ways to deliver drugs to metastatic breast tumours to maximize their effectiveness and limit side effects.
Thanks to the leadership of the Metastatic Breast Cancer team at the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, $102,778.73 was raised at this event in 2017 to support research into metastatic breast cancer - our Regina "COUNT ME(ts) IN" team is primed to contribute $30,000 to the 2018 total!!!!
Did you know that just $100 could fund 2 hours of life-saving research in a world class laboratory? Your contribution could lead to the next breakthrough!
Together, we can change the future of breast cancer.
Thanks in advance for your support!
