Welcome to Asia Schmolke's personal page
My name is Asia! I am 13 years old and I am raising money for research that addresses metastatic breast cancer with the hope that one day breast cancer will become a chronic disease for those with stage four progression. I have spent the summer collecting pledges for my team, and will be participating in the run with my Aunty Ange who has faced breast cancer in her 30's.
Please, will you make a small donation to support my goal to be one of the top fundraisers and part of the top fundraising teams in Saskatoon? All of the funds that I raise will be directed to metastatic breast cancer research. Metastatic breast cancer is breast cancer that has spread from the breast to other parts of the body, like the brain, lungs, or bones. There is no cure for breast cancer that metastasizes, which is why it's so important to raise money for research that focuses on metastatic disease.
1 in 8 Canadian women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Around 30-40% will face metastatic disease, either through inital metastatic staging or reoccurence, often years later due to breast cancer cells hibernating in other parts of the body.
Please contribute what you can to help me achieve my fundraising goal. Every dollar makes a difference and gets us one step closer to making breast cancer beatable. Your donation will fund innovative breast cancer research to help save the lives of more women.
Together, we can change the future of breast cancer. At 13 years old, I am doing my part now and hope you will stand behind me to support me.
Thank you for your support!
