Welcome to Neil Baird's personal page
1 in 8 Canadian women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Let’s promise to change that.
I’m participating in this year’s Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure to benefit the breast cancer cause.
I started running this April with this event as my objective. I will be running the 5K in Guelph on October 1st in honour of my mum who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2014.
If you can help me reach my fundraising goal with a contribution, I would greatly appreciate it.
As a result of the very generous support I have been privileged to receive, I have been able to raise my goal to $1250.00. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed.
Thanks to Doreen, Bert, Krystal, Kelli, Stephanie, Lisa and Jennifer who all contributed offline.
Post Run Update:
Sunday was a beautiful day with perfect weather for the run.
The energy in Guelph from the participants, volunteers and spectators was incredible! Pink feather boas, pink tutus, pink shorts, pink socks and pink painted pinkies were everywhere.
Over $17 million was raised nationally by the Run For The Cure this year to fund breast cancer research.
I am very pleased to announce that together we raised a total of $1839.00 for the cause.
And I ran a personal best on Sunday.
Thank you again for your support!
