Welcome to RICO WALJI's personal page
Good day! I hope this email finds you well, and in good health.
On Sunday, October 5th, I will be participating in the 2014 Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure.
I come to you today to ask for your support in my goal of creating a future where I do not have to live each day with the fear that the many important women in my life might fall victim to this disease, when a cure had not been found yet. I strive to do whatever I can now to help better the odds in their favour should something like that ever happen, that enough resources would be available to help women who fall victim to this disease, survive it, much better than the statistics are today.
Breast cancer is a cause that deeply motivates me and I am excited to be contributing to Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s vision of creating a future without breast cancer. The money raised during the CIBC Run for the Cure helps to fund critical and groundbreaking research, education, and advocacy initiatives across the country. With an estimated 24,000 women and men diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013, I am glad to be helping to change those statistics—but I need your help to do it.
You can make a difference too by supporting me in my fundraising efforts. Together, we can help support Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation funded researchers like Dr. Michelle Cotterchio. She is studying how dietary choices can reduce the risk of breast cancer and hoping to develop new strategies for prevention. Dr. Cotterchio is just one of many innovative researchers that we can help to make an impact on breast cancer by raising funds during the 2014 CIBC Run for the Cure. If you’d like to see more ways in which your support is making a difference, take a look Your Impact at www.cibcrunforthecure.com.
