Welcome to Paul Lansbergen's personal page
Quick update on life. Since my restructuring out of FPAC earlier this summer I have started my job search and making progress. I have a few irons in the fire and hoping one gets hot enough to shape into my next success. As for the cause, I recently found out my aunt Barb (Mom's sister) was diagnosed with breast cancer a second time. She has since had a successful operation and will continue treatment protocols. My prayers are with Aunt Barb and her name will be front and centre on my bib this year.
I am proud to be back participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure - for my 12th year!
In addition to doing my usual fundraising, I continuing to volunteer in organizing the Ottawa-Gatineau Run site. I will be helping to motivate and encourage our participants in their fundraising efforts. Volunteering is very gratifying. I am helping to make a difference and getting to know more passionate people along the way.
I am extremely grateful to my large circle of family, friends and business associates who have supported my fundraising efforts over the years. If you are back reading this, thank you for your continued support.
If you have ever wondered how the Foundation uses the money raised I can give you a personal perspective on the amount of due diligence they conduct in their research granting process. I was very impressed with the experts they use and the degree of assessments they do of the grant applications. Not only do they consider the research topic and methodology but they will even look at individual line items in the proposed budget in the applications. I am even more confident now that your and my donations are being well used. The Foundation continues to make sure our donation dollars are used effectively.
Please support my efforts to create a future without breast cancer. Every donation, of any size, is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all my past donors, we have raised $85,000 in cumulative fundraising.
In loving memory of Mom!
